Maui Myth & Magic Theatre Presents Ulalena, a theatrical experience as impressive as the story. This is not just a theatre. Ulalena employs the talents of some of Hawaii's most distinguished musicians and performers, combining live traditional Hawaiian music with 8-channel surround sound. 'Ulalena is a wind unique to Maui, as said in the Kumulipo, an ancient Hawaiian creation chant, as well as a red-yellow colored rain revealed by the twilight. Like a soft wind in the mist of light. Ulalena invites each spectator to a place of wonder. Ulalena explores relationships between people, nature and mythology. The use of metaphors integrates Hawaiian chants and dances, original music and choreography, lighting and projections to support the talents of unique performers. For the best experience enjoy the Producers Dinner Package. This includes a lavish feast at the Rain Forest Cafe, private entrance to the Theatre, Preferred seating, and a private encore musical number. After the encore, you'll be introduced to the cast and musicians. At this time you may ask questions and take photographs with the cast members. This is a special privelage as you are able to see behind the scenes and given the rare opportunity to interact presonnaly with the performers. Come enjoy a vegas style magic show in Maui! This show is like a combination luau and magic show, all under one roof. This dinner show features hula and polynesian dance with a touch of Maui mythology preparing you for the surprise packed full feature magic show presented by master illusionist Jody Baran and his talented wife Kathleen. Cutting edge illusions are sure to leave you baffled! But, don't forget about the excellent meal and open bar. For appetizers choose from Kalua pork Maui quesadilla or grilled vegetable bruschetta. For your entree choose from seared fresh island fish with a chili and black bean sauce, marinated shrimp and chicken, tenderloin steak and shrimp or vegetarian marinated tofu and roasted vegetables.
