1) Do you have any brochures you can send us?

Our brochures have much less info on them than is included in this web site. As a general rule we do not mail brochures. It would be faster and more useful for you to find, and print if necessary, the information you need directly from this site.

2) Are your boat trips kid friendly?

Yes. Kids of all ages love our boats. Especially the Frogman with it's water slide! If they are swimmers they will have a great time snorkeling. If they aren't real good swimmers, but comfortable in the water, there are floatation devices to help boost their buoyancy and confidence. There is also a lifeguard close by on a surfboard to assist anyone with their equipment. If a child is too young for the water, they can stay on board as long as an adult is there to watch them.

Sure. Go through this web site. In particular, check out Cheap Fun and Ocean Fun.

4) I was wondering if you need to know how to swim in order to snorkel.

Not necessarily. While you should be comfortable in the water, swimming isn't really required. Many people are surprised to learn that it is easier to snorkel from a boat than from shore. This is because you don't have to worry about waves and rocks and such to enter the water. The Frog's boats are both equipped with large stairs that lower into the water so you can just step right in. Furthermore, The Frog will provide you with floatation devices if you need or want them. There is even a lifeguard paddling around you on a surfboard to help you with any problems you may have with your equipment.

5) Can I reserve the gear in advance?

The Frog keeps plenty of gear on hand and seldom, if ever, runs low. He is unable to reserve gear because there would be no way to know which sizes and shapes fit you best until you stop in the shop.

6) Do you book activities other than your own boats?

Absolutely! The Frog books just about anything you can do here. Luaus, helicopters, dive trips, dinner cruises, magic shows, parasailing, and biking down the volcano just to name some. Not only that, he has ways to save you money on all of them while his knowledgeable representatives will help direct you to the company that is best for you. Just give him a call.

7) Is renting snorkel gear sanitary?

It is at Boss Frog's! When gear comes back in the store it is soaked in a sanitizing solution for 10 minutes before it is rinsed. This is the same solution that is used in hospitals and restaurants for sterilizing. So it's just as sanitary to rent The Frog's snorkel gear as it is to drink a glass of water at a restaurant.

10) We are interested in possibly purchasing snorkel gear from you, instead of just renting it. Do you do that?

Sure. To help in the decision of whether to rent or buy, keep these facts in mind:

Quality snorkel gear is usually cheaper on Maui than on the mainland. This is probably due to the competition here. You can usually purchase a set for what you would pay for about 4 weeks of renting a similar set. If you vacation often in places you will snorkel, or you can snorkel at home, buying might be the best bet. Also keep in mind that you will have to pack it for the trip. Some people buy just the mask and snorkel and just rent their fins since fins are the hardest to pack. Whatever you decide, Boss Frog will be there to help.
